How much does your service cost?

This is the question we hear most often. Our fees are in direct proportion to the level of professionalism, expertise, service, quality, and value that you receive, and the fee for your résumé really depends on your exact needs.

We work with a broad and diverse client base, ranging from the new high school graduate to CEO’s of multi-million dollar corporations. So, as you might imagine, the fees can vary greatly from one client to the next. We calculate our quotes using a formula that considers such things as your industry, your career goals, your level of responsibility, your length of employment, and the level of your education.

You will, however, find our fees to be extremely competitive when compared to other firms with similar credentials, levels of expertise, and years of experience. Do you offer discounts to special groups such as military or new graduates?

No, at Résumés By Tammy every client is important and we believe each and every client is entitled to a fair and equitable price based soley upon the complexity of their particular project. No client should ever be penalized with a higher price simply because they are not part of a special group.

Along that same line, one has to wonder about résumé firms who do offer a percentage discount to special groups when the company does not have a published fixed price for everyone else. How do you know if you are actually receiving the discount? All they have to do is increase their quote by the amount of the discount so you really end up paying the same amount you would have before the discount. Beware of companies who promote this type of questionable sales gimmick.

Your competitor offers a lower price… why should I pay you more?

Résumé writing is an art and all résumés are not created equal! We don't criticize our competitors in résumé writing, but please understand, it is important to first determine if the other company is in fact a true competitor or not. Across the nation fees for résumés range from $30 to over $3000, and the expertise behind them varies just as much.

Does the other company have 15+ years of experience? Are the writers certified? Do they have any samples of their work published in top-selling résumé books? Are they members of any professional résumé associations? If you answered “No” to any of these questions… they are not our competitor.

Don’t sacrifice quality to save a few dollars, your career is too important… a poorly written résumé can cost you thousands of dollars in lost career opportunities.

What is your turnaround time?

At Résumés By Tammy, our focus has always been quality over quantity. Our normal turnaround time is 3 to 5 days depending on prior commitments and the complexity of your project. We encourage our clients to plan ahead and begin working with us before there is an urgent need for a résumé.

When those special situations arise that require a faster turnaround time, we will make every effort to accommodate you. However, we will never sacrifice quality or jeopardize our reputation for excellence just to make a sale.
